The title says it all, really. Ohio may be the most boring place on the face of the earth, so this may be more random ramblings than the daily life of a college girl but it's probably more amusing that way.
Anyway, I do have to mention what happened yesterday. My mom was running late to work in the morning and when feeding the cats, she cut her hand between her thumb and index finger with the lid of the can and needed six stitches.
My brother needed X-rays, he has a hurting tailbone and arm and there's a possibility of broken bones.
On top of that, my grandpa is on dementia medication and is not happy about it. I came home from class last night to my mom yelling at him over the phone. It was an interesting day, though not the greatest, though most of my days are boring.
I do also note that my town's police is insane on speeding. They were patrolling on the highway in the next town over and pulled over 3 people in a 2 mile stretch. I've never seen anything quite like it before.
Anyway, with that I'll end this, next time it'll probably just be random stuff here because yesterday was a rare day.

Random note just coming in: I'm probably getting snowed in tomorrow and Saturday. Winter Storm Warning, 4-8 inches with locally higher amounts expected. I'm happy about this =D

I want snow. But it always melts when it reaches the ground. But when it rains and it's cold enough everything freezes over making me slip on the walkway and slide to the end of the walkway.
Very fun though... but really hurt...

Ouch... That would hurt. Too bad you don't get snow much there.
This storm is taking quite a while to start but they've raised the amounts to 8-15 inches so I'm not sure what to think about it so far. There's still probably 26 hours or so to go, it's still only 10AM...
My friend in Washington, DC is getting 21-33 inches though, which will be their biggest storm in 88 years.

And it begins: It's snowing, and the forecast is 8-17 inches now with heavy wording saying likely over a foot in a thin band passing over my area.
4:15 pm: 3 inches so far, and the snow's still getting heavier. 1-2 inches per hour easily.

itt I ramble.
Anyway, we ended with about 10 inches of heavy, wet snow here, which is a nice total, though it's overshadowed by Maryland, which got 30+. My parents still want to go out to eat tonight, however, since the original owners came back to a restaurant which will probably save it.
I'm finding it quite amusing that ESPN2 is showing both Dayton AND Wright State today. National TV, Dayton-area teams? Maybe it's helped by facing Xavier and Butler (okay, definitely in Butler's case) but it's fun. I'm a big sports fan, which really is more common than you'd think out of girls my age in Ohio, though most of the ones I knew moved away so I can't talk sports with anyone but my delusional grandpa who still thinks the 4-44 New Jersey Nets are amazing.
Speaking of sports, the Super Bowl is this weekend. I'm excited, and rooting for the New Orleans Saints for the story, though the Colts are probably the better--and more local---team. The city of New Orleans really deserves this though, and not just because of getting hit by Hurricane Katrina, but since that city is starved for a sports title as well. They're amazingly passionate about the Saints as well: 1300 men went down Bourbon Street in wedding dresses because their sportscaster in 2005 said "If the Saints ever make the Super Bowl, I'll march down Bourbon Street in a wedding dress." And yes, he was there.
Odd story about Katrina too. On August 27th, I had a dream that it turned and hit Biloxi, Mississippi, and the winds clockwise around the storm blew water into Lake Ponchartrain. Well, that happened on the 29th. Really creepy though it wasn't too hard of a forecast...
Um, yeah. Not much else to say, that went long, lol. Over 1,800 words of nothingness. Oh well, I'll post more when I feel like it.

rofl I can only imagine what's going on down in that city after that game. And does anyone actually roleplay here? I tried to start one but it's kind of not being noticed... Also lol, I got 10 inches of snow... And another winter storm watch is up for 6+ inches.

5-9 inches of snow tomorrow, which wins. Why isn't a warning up yet? >_>
Anyway, midterms day, and yay for me since my friend keeps calling for math help. Long day much? Praying for a Wednesday snow day.
Wish I had more to say but I'm short on time, sorry.
Edit: Oh NOW we get the warning right after I post, rofl.

Finally, the day's over, now I can really post.
Other than the weather I noted, my brother is a total idiot. He got something to let his friend control the computer so he could find out how to download something and his friend went to porn. >_> I deleted the tool he used so he can't do that again but eventually he'll kill the computer at this rate.
Anyway, the Super Bowl was last night, and it was the most-watched show in American history with 106.5 million viewers. Sure, the commercials were underwhelming and the halftime show was rofl-worthy boredom for most people under the age of 40, but CBS nailed the coverage and it was a good game.
That onside kick to start the second half was certifiably insane... And yet it worked. I knew it was over when that pass got intercepted for a touchdown. There was also this epic moment after the game where Drew Brees had his son with him and the Lombardi Trophy. What an amazing moment...
I find it interesting that my high school had a player in the game: Will Smith of the Saints. My friend's school had Marques Colston, so that's awesome too.
Anyway, I have all day tomorrow if anyone's on here to start a roleplay, mine didn't get any interest it seems.

Well, we got our snow, round 2 of "Snowmageddon" (and I promise I didn't make up the name). 7 inches so far, expecting 3-5 more. There's now over a foot of snow cover on the ground too. They closed everything here: Schools, the Air Force Base, the airport... Yeah, big storm.
With the lack of roleplaying or anything I've been playing Pokemon XD: Gale of Darkness. Not the greatest Pokemon game but it's still amusing. Houndoom, Breloom, and Jolteon in levels of the mid-20's are basically broken, I'm running through teams at this point. Miror B. is awesome though, and he's the only good use of disco.
Anyway, I'll keep up with that and a little project I'm working on that may take a while.

Ugh, for some reason I have my evening classes today... 8 inches of snow and blowing snow isn't enough? That makes no sense at all. Driving in that will not be fun... >>
It's also worth noting that these battle bingo cards are getting ridiculous. All flying with non-flying moves and you can't tell them apart until the battle? Tough... I just ran head-on (APPLY DIRECTLY TO THE FOREHEAD) into a Charizard.

I know I post too much in here, lol, but this one will have some substance, I promise.
First things first: I have... Half a snow day. College opened at noon, but due to the snow emergency in Darke County where my Communications professor lives, that class is cancelled. However, with the first cancelled due to time and second due to the rules of a level 3 snow emergency, that leaves the two late classes, making me be gone from 4:20 pm to 8:50 pm or so. Apparently an active winter storm warning isn't enough to close things... Oh well.
Did get to -13 here last night, though it's a nice, warm 9 degrees now. rofl.
Now, I heard something interesting that some might like, not sure how many here will but I'll talk about it anyway. It is official that we have a new Pokemon for the 5th generation, one which got leaked this morning. The smaller one is Zoroa and the evolved form is Zoroaku, apparently a Dark-type which is the star of the 13th movie. It's kind of sad that "Zoro Aku" can translate to evil fox though, so the name's not too original. And before you throw kitsune for fox at me, note that the Zoro part for fox requires spanish, but Game Freak's done that before.
Now for a very scary moment for competitive players: We now have confirmation of a ranger event in March which will allow a transfer of an Eruption Heatran to HeartGold and SoulSilver. Only two Pokemon can switch in safely at full health into a Choice Specs Heatran Eruption in OU: Kingdra and Heatran. Sure, you could try Flash Fire Ninetales, Arcanine, or Flareon or Trace Porygon2 or Gardevoir, but the mere thought of using those seems to make Heatran seem broken. Then again, Specs Heatran is pretty slow, so we'll have to wait and see.

You guys get time off for even thinking about snow down there, lol. Maybe I could use this eruption heatran to melt the snow... >_>
